Post to Stop War in Ukraine
At the break of the war, it was tough to do something artistic. Every moment was full of uncertainty, fear and hate toward the enemy. russia took away my home back in 2014, and now the invasion has torn apart the hometown of my close relatives in Eastern Ukraine.
Two weeks after the russian invasion, I felt the need to do something that I could to bring attention to russian war crimes in Ukraine. I joined the project of Ukrainian journalists -
post-to-stop-war.in.ua, which aimed to spread awareness of the real meaning of russian deeds to world safety and democracy. .
I made a series of posters on russian war crimes against civilians in Ukraine - in Mariupol, Irpin, Kharkiv and Kyiv.
russia's war against Ukraine has a significant history. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the loss of Ukraine, one of the largest countries in Europe in terms of territory and population, became especially painful for moscow. Since then, russia has been constantly trying to bring Ukraine back under its influence. To depict the Ukrainian struggle for independence and russian attempts to undermine democratic values within the Ukrainian society, I made the digital collage series.
Next digital collages aim to claim that the war in Ukraine, started by the russians, could cause famine for 100 million people around the world. russian troops are mining fields, blowing up agricultural machinery, and destroying fuel supplies in order to sabotage crop production in Ukraine.
To illustrate the need to provide an embargo on all energy supplies from russia I created the animation.
russia must be stopped right now!
